Upper Ward & Airdrie Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry, a fine quality officer’s full dress sabretache c1837-1852 the blue cloth faced simply ornamented with the crown over floreated ‘VR’ in gilt metal gold train lace of Austrian wave pattern red moroccan leather bag, the triple suspension straps and narrow waist belt of the same material all faced with gold lace, the gilt waist belt clasp being a lion’s mask with circular reeded surround, complete with red moroccan foul weather cover, some mothing to the cloth face and side panels otherwise very good condition for age £400-600

Note: Unit formed c1821 with title changing in 1852 to the Lanarkshire Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry
