Estimate: £180–£220

A Vietnam War photograph / scrap album compiled by First Lieutenant P. H. Mobley, Alpha Company, 1st U.S. Cavalry, subject matter largely circa 1965 and including a series of images from combat sorties, including helicopters in flight and enemy dead, together with Vietcong propaganda leaflets and several newspaper cuttings, one featuring the story of Mobley and his company in a “friendly fire” incident, together with a pair of pale blue Vietcong uniform epaulettes, presumably taken by Mobley from a dead or captured enemy officer, the album itself being of decorated black lacquer in the oriental style, hinges defective and the lacquer worn in places, but the contents good and an interesting item of memorabilia compiled by a frontline officer £180-220
