The above was manufactured by Arthur Fenwick Ltd (Goldsmiths, Silversmiths and Medallists) of 49 Frederick Street, Birmingham - the well known manufacturers of an extensive range of medals, miniatures, badges, masonic jewels etc. Established in 1888, the production of miniature Orders, Decorations and Medals was one of their specialities. The Managing Director, Mr Arthur Fenwick. maintained six velvet covered boards in his office displaying an example of every miniature ever produced by his firm. Over 750 different miniatures featured in his cherished collection which had been built up over the years both before and just after the turn of the 19th/20th century.
