Edward Foster was born in and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. Serving with the 1st Battalion Essex Regiment, he was killed in action at Gallipoli on 28 June 1915, aged 24 years. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. Sold with card-mounted commemorative scroll and copied research.
