William Hugh Crossett attested for the 10th (Scottish) Battalion, Liverpool Regiment on 4 August 1914 and was one of the original contingent who travelled to France aboard the S.S. Maidan in November 1914. He was discharged on 26 June 1915 and was entitled to the Silver War Badge.
