Charles Frederick Burrows enlisted in Leicester. Serving with the 25th Battery, 35th Brigade Royal Artillery, he died of wounds on 1 November 1917, aged 29 years. He was buried in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery.

Thomas Cyril Taylor, son of Charles Albert and Sarah Ann Taylor of Helmet, Meltham, died whilst serving with the Royal Air Force on 29 November 1918, aged 26 years. He was buried in Meltham Methodist Chapelyard.
