Sir Frank Lockwood Q.C., c. 1905 (?), a uniface cast and chased brass plaque by Maude Schwabe, bust left with winged collar and bow tie, 132mm. Probably sometime cleaned, good very fine, rare £40-£60

Sir Frank Lockwood (1846-97), lawyer, Liberal MP for the City of York, 1885-97. In May 1895 he was lead counsel for the prosecution in the case of Regina v. Oscar Wilde. He was related to the medallist of this piece, Emily Henrietta Maude Schwabe, through his wife Julia Schwabe
