Pair: Sapper S. M. Williams, Royal Engineers, who died of Malaria in Mesopotamia on 13 October 1918

Samuel Marshall Williams, a native of Bangor, Carnarvonshire, was employed prior to the Great War as a telegraph messenger with the Post Office. He attested for the Royal Engineers and served with the 2nd Wireless Signal Squadron during the Great War in Mesopotamia. He died of malaria on 13 October 1918, aged 22, and is buried in Tehran War Cemetery, Iran.
