Norfolk Artillery; born 14 June 1857, son of Sir Francis Crossley, 1st Bt.; educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford (B.A.); M.P. for North Suffolk, Lowestoft Division 1882-90; Chairman of the Liberal Unionist Council under Mr Chamberlain until the amalgamation of the Liberal Unionists and the Conservatives; M.P. (L.U.) Halifax 1900-06; Paymaster-General 1902-06; Hon. Secretary King Edward’s Hospital Fund, and Chairman Hospital Saturday Fund till 1914; J.P. and D.L. Suffolk; J.P. Norfolk; High Sheriff for Suffolk 1896. Lord Somerleyton died on 25 February 1935.
