Gillbank and Co, Spirit Establishment, a note promising to supply the bearer with any quantity of Old & Genuine Wines or Spirits from a Stock of Ten Thousand Pounds, 19 December 1933, serial number 21, printed signature of Gillbank, vignette of a cherub with a wine glass seated on a barrel at top left, very thin paper, making the condition even more remarkable, good very fine and very scarce

The Gillbank family appear to have owned the wine merchants for around two decades, prior to its sale in 1848. At this time the premises at 21 Pickett Street, just off The Strand, opposite St Clements Church (which still stands), was also a public house named the Kings Head. The Warehouse continued to function in the same capacity under new ownership.
