William Herbert Nobbs joined the 13th Wessex Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial Force) on 7 June 1910, and served during the Great War in India from 9 October 1914. Promoted Corporal on 6 January 1917, he was awarded his Territorial Efficiency Medal in May 1922.
