George William Baldwin was born in West Ham, London in November 1900. He joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in October 1916, and served during the Great War with H.M. Ships Revenge and Resolution. Baldwin was awarded his L.S. & G.C. in November 1933, and sent a Duplicate in June 1940.
