Frederick Charles Dance (listed as Charles F. Dance on his Medal Index Card) was born in 1885 and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on 7 June 1916. He served with the 5th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was severely wounded by a gun shot wound to the right leg. He was discharged on 4 January 1919, and was awarded Silver War Badge No. B110033. Later a Special Constable, he died in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, in 1971.

Reginald E. Weaver was born on 7 May 1892 and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, serving with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front. In the 1939 Register he is noted as a Solicitor’s Managing Clerk, and a Special Constable, residing at Banbury.
