Spain, Exposicion Universal de Barcelona, 1888, a bronze medal by E. Arnau for J. Solá, conjoined busts of Alfonso XIII and the Queen Regent left, rev. Fame and winged Cupid over a view of the Expo pavilions, 50mm (BDM I, 78; cf. DNW 58, 1631). Tiny edge nick on reverse, otherwise extremely fine and virtually as struck, with crown and clip suspender, original red and yellow ribbon; in original maroon fitted case by R. Castells, Escudillers, Barcelona (£35-45)
