An 18th/19th century gold and enamelled rock crystal etui, of slightly tapering form, with pull off cover, both sections edged with scrolling foliate borders and decorated in vari-coloured enamels, and with single border of pearls, the base engraved with intaglio seal of a Ducal coronet and initials ‘F J’, the inner gold sleeve bearing French guarantee marks for Paris 1798-1809 and with later French import marks, post 1893, length 13.5cm, contained in fitted leather case. £1,500-£2,000
