John Walter Thomas Harris was born in Stratton Audley, Oxon, and enlisted at Oxford, the husband of Fanny Harris. He served with the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry in France from 1 January 1915, and also served with the 25th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). He died on 12 October 1918 whilst in a Prisoner of War camp and is buried in Niederzwerhren Cemetery, Kassel Hessen, Germany.
