Royal Humane Society, large bronze medal (successful) (William Tallack, Seaman, H.M.S. Retribution, 8 April 1856) fitted with ring suspension, some contact marks, very fine £140-£180

R.H.S. Case no 15,847: ‘On 8 April 1856 a boy named Garrett belonging to H.M.S.
Retribution accidentally fell out of a boat into the Sea off Spithead, Portsmouth. Seamen William Tallack and Andrew Grant, both of H.M.S. Retribution, jumped overboard, swam to his assistance, and supported him until picked up by a boat.’
