Wallace William Thomas Lewis was born in Tredegar, Monmouthshire, on 31 October 1910 and enlisted in the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 27 October 1926. Advanced Petty Officer, he was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 23 June 1943.
