General von Falkenhayn, c.1916, a large bronze portrait medal by G. Morin, bust left wearing uniform and badge of Order, rev. Falkenhayn as a seated knight in armour with sword and chart, eagle above, 96mm. Extremely fine (£50-70)

Von Falkenhayn was at Verdun and the Trentino offensive, 1916. Later he was in the operations in Mesopotamia
