James II (1437-1460), Groat, Edinburgh, class II, mm. crown, crown with spearheads, cross fourchée at end of legend, rev. crown before vil, annulet and three pellets in first and fourth quarters, crown in second and third quarters, 3.57g/2h (SCBI 35, 699; B 13, fig. 530; S 5233). Well centred on a round flan, very fine (£350-400)
