Henry VI (First reign, 1422-1461), Cross-Pellet issue [A], Groat, London, mm. cross IIIb on obv. only, saltires by neck, pellets by crown, lis and leaf on breast, extra pellets in angles under tas and don, 3.78g/2h (N 1516; S 1934). Good very fine, all the important marks clear, extremely rare £1,000-£1,200

Struck on a small-sized flan but of good weight, this coin has two extra pellets on the reverse. It is in superior condition to both the Buck and Delmé-Radcliffe examples, which do not show the extra pellets
