Bombay Engineers, a most interesting archive concerning the life of Major General Charles Waddington CB c.1814-1858, various commissions c.1825-1854, two documents informing Waddington of Her Majesty’s intention to appoint him CB (18 July 1843) and the despatch of the ribbons and medals (April 1844) both signed by Prince Albert, Acting Great Master. Leaving India in September 1858 on Sick Certificate he died in the November. 16th Madras Native Infantry, an interesting commission appointing Francis Mardall Esquire to be Captain as from 8th February 1855, signed and issued at Camp Ferozepoor in Bengal 24th December 1855 by General Sir William Maynard Gomm KCB C-in-C Queen’s and Company’s Forces East Indies. Mardall remained as such leaving the army c1869, some worm damage to the last item otherwise good overall condition £60-100
