Ernest Dodd was born in and resided at Stepney, London and enlisted at Edinburgh. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers, he entered the France / Flanders theatre of war om 20 October 1914. With the rank of Acting Corporal he was killed in action on 12 March 1915 aged 34 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.
