Lance Serjeant G. Thurgood, 1st Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, entered the France / Flanders theatre of war on 8 November 1914. He was awarded the Silver War Badge on 30 April 1916 as ‘unfit for war service.’

Private J. Marney, 2nd Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, entered the France / Flanders theatre of war on 6 October 1914. He was discharged on 17 September 1916 as ‘unfit for war service.’
