Charles I (1625-1649), Newark, Shilling, 1646, high-arched crown with jewelled band, reads newark, 5.46g/12h (Hird 255; SCBI Brooker 1225; N 2640; S 3143). Flan creased and skillfully plugged at 12 o’clock, otherwise better than very fine, toned £300-£400
