An 1898 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword, the 82.5 cm bright blade by ‘S. Goff & Co.,’ the blade etched with the crown and ‘GVR’ cypher, Royal Arms and panels of scrolling foliage, the pierced plated hand guard incorporating the GVR cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, together with its field service leather covered wooden scabbard, this complete with sword frog, the wire binding slightly loose otherwise very good condition £60-£100
