Herries, datelined “10 Temple Place Blackpean Road May 18 1825.” Requests he help expedite Hook’s release from prison. Herries’ autographed reply appended to the blank leaf refers to a legal difficulty, now obviated. 18.5 x 22.3cm. Folded with tear at one fold, otherwise clean (£100-120)
