Dudley, Spence’s mule Halfpence (4), distant view of Dudley Castle, revs. shepherd, clear date, edge plain, 10.48g/6h (DH 7); partly obliterated date (3), edge grained, 9.40g/6h (DH 8), london and engrailed edge, 9.53g/6h (DH 8a), edge plain [filed], 9.35g/5h (DH 8b) [4]. All extremely fine, DH 8a with much original colour, DH 8b with obverse off-centre but very rare (£150-200)
