Newcastle upon Tyne, Spence’s mule Halfpence (4), from the same obv. die as previous, revs. three armed citizens, spence edge, 10.27g/6h (DH 8); heart and hand, spence edge, 11.04g/6h (DH 9); Highlander, spence edge, 12.72g/6h (DH 10); lion and cock, spence edge, 10.82g/4h (DH 11) [4]. About extremely fine and better, DH 8 and 10 with a little original colour, but all with verdigris spots (£120-150)
