Thomas Paine, 1793, a white metal medal, unsigned, man hanging from tree, a tree is known by its fruit…, i die for this damn'd book in speech bubble, rev. may the tree of liberty exist to bear tommy's last friend, 32mm, 10.85g/12h (DH 209; BHM 366). Usual small flaws by obverse rim, some surface marks, otherwise good very fine and retaining much original brilliance, very rare and almost certainly the finest example available to commerce (£500-700)
