Strand, J. and Gilbert Pidcock, Halfpence (14), elephant, revs. rhinoceros to right (3), spence edge, 12.33g/6h (DH 416), edge grained, 9.24g/6h (DH 416a), edge plain, 7.22g/6h (DH 416b); rhinoceros to left, 9.48g/7h (DH 417, polished obv. die); tiger, spence edge, 12.67g/7h (DH 418); nylghau, 6.77g/6h (DH 419); antelope, edge grained, 8.85g/7h (DH 420); zebra, 8.98g/7h (DH 421, polished obv. die); two-headed cow (3), stars in legend, 9.20g/6h (DH 422), quatrefoils in legend (2), edge grained, 9.26g/6h (DH 423), edge plain, 7.28g/6h (DH 423a); kangaroo (2), small [28.5mm] flan, 9.50g/12h (DH 424), large [29.5mm] flan, 9.57g/4h (DH 424, polished obv. die); toucan, 7.22g/6h (DH 426) [14]. DH 416b and 418 extremely fine with considerable original colour but former with red stain on reverse, DH 416 and 426 fine, others very fine and better, several patinated (£150-200)
