A good Indian dagger, Khanjar, the pistol grip formed of a single piece of rock crystal, the double-edged curved blade 26cm of fine watered steel with prominent raised central ridge, Moghul, circa 1700, contained in an old fitted case, pasted in the lid, an old typed label, stating : ‘Jambia, rock crystal hilt, property of T. E Lawrence, Clouds Hill, Lawrence of Arabia. Purchased S. W. Cottee & Son Wareham, Dorset’, the rock crystal hilt fractured across, and two areas of heavy pitting to blade £500-600
