William Henry Mount was born in the Parish of Milton, near Sittingbourne, Kent. A labourer, he attested for the Buffs in 1892. With them he served in India, between December 1894 and June 1898 and was entitled to the I.G.S. 1895 with clasp for the Relief of Chitral 1895. Service in the Boer War between December 1899 and September 1902 followed. He was discharged in 1904. Sold with copied service papers.
