53rd (Royal East Kent) Company Imperial Yeomanry.

Thomas William Russell was born in Sevenoaks, Kent. A salesman by trade, he attested into the Imperial Yeomanry on 19 February 1900, aged 22 years. He served with the 53rd (Royal East Kent) Company, 12th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa between 7 March 1900 and 17 February 1901. Clasps confirmed. Sold with copied service papers.
