Edward Foster was born in and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. Serving with “Y” Company, 1st Battalion Essex Regiment, he was killed in action in Gallipoli, 28 June 1915, aged 24 years. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey. Sold with commemorative scroll mounted on card.
