Charles I (1625-1649), York mint, Halfcrown, Gp 2 [type 7], mm. lion, horse with tail between legs, ebor below, crowned oval shield, 13.75g/12h (Bull 560; Besly 2E; cf. SCBI Brooker 1087; N 2315; S 2869). Faint X scratched in obverse field and very small attempted piercing, otherwise good very fine £500-£700
