Sir William Richard Freethy, Under Secretary to Sir Stafford Cripps, was killed in an air raid on 17th October 1940, aged 50 years. He was the husband of Alice Freethy of Wimbledon, Surrey. Sold with copied m.i.c. and copied extract from 25th London medal roll.
