Russia, Empire, Order of St Alexander Nevsky, Grand Cross set of insignia by Edouard, St Petersburg, comprising sash badge, 53mm, gold and enamel, maker’s mark beneath enamel on the reverse and ‘56’ zolotniki mark on ring, and breast star, 88mm, silver with silver, gilt and enamel centre, gilt reverse with maker’s marks and St Petersburg ‘84’ zolotniki kokoshnik mark, assayer A. Rikhter, complete with full length dress sash in its damaged red leather case of issue, the badge lacking most enamel from lower reverse arm, otherwise nearly extremely fine, the star with chips to red enamel circlet, therefore very fine £4000-5000
