1939-45 Star; Burma Star; War Medal; Indian Service Medal; Efficiency Medal, India, G.VI.R., with two additional service bars (Tpr. J. S. Barr, Assam V.L.H., A.F.I.) Court mounted as worn, together with related group of miniatures and ribbon bar, all contained in a damaged fitted carrying case, nearly extremely fine (10) £140-180

Prior to the outbreak of war James Snodgrass Barr was an Assistant in the Kanan Devan Hills Produce Company, at Sibsagar, Assam. He was granted an Indian Army Emergency Commission as Second Lieutenant on 5 May 1941.
