R.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaves (Capt. F. P. Smith.); France, Reconnaissance Medal, 3rd Class, bronze, mounted as worn, nearly extremely fine (5) £180-£220

Felix Patrick Smith served in France with the 7th (Service) Battalion, Royal Lancaster Regiment from July 1915 (Wounded). He was promoted to Temporary Captain on 9 July 1915, and to Temporary Captain and Assistant Provost-Marshal on 16 May 1916, holding that appointment until June 1922.
