Thomas Haxton was born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, on 11 May 1889, and attested fro the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Edmonton, Alberta, on 17 May 1915. He served with the 7th Battalion, British Colombia Regiment, during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 6 October 1918. He is buried in Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France.
