A Waffen S.S. Enlisted Ranks Bergmutze. A highly unusual and heavily service worn Waffen SS enlisted mans bergmutze. Good colour to the grey green fluffy material without any moth damage. Complete with its one-piece Bevo woven SS eagle and skull insignia. Unusually the style of cap is without a single or double button front. Possibly worn by Mountain Troops. When the sides of the cap are pulled down to use as a protection the front of the curtain operates as a chinstrap. A seam at the rear of the cap has been opened for a larger wearer. To the interior, as previously stated, considerable wear use. No visible markings. Extremely small size of possibly 53, good condition £300-£400
