Pair: Private H. A. Stallard, Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry

Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Tel-El-Kebir (1211. Pte. H. Stallard. 2/D. of C.L.I.); Khedive’s Star 1882, reverse impressed ‘1211 H. S.’, pitting from Star, nearly very fine (2) £200-£240

Henry Albert Stallard was born in 1857 and attested for the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry at Bristol on 17 May 1879. He served with the 2nd Battalion in Egypt and the Sudan from 20 July 1882 to 16 September 1885, taking part in the Nile Expedition of 1884-85 (also entitled to the clasp The Nile 1884-85), before transferring to the Army Reserve on 23 September 1895. He was discharged on 16 May 1891, after 12 years’ service.
