Royal Humane Society, small bronze medal (successful) (Geoffrey Nicholson 17th Aug. 1912) with integral top riband buckle, good very fine £100-£140

R.H.S. Case no. 39,593:
‘Geoffrey Nicholson, Cadet, R.M. College, Sandhurst, aged 18. At 4:30 p.m. on 17 August 1912, a small boat with three persons on board was capsized about 100 yards out to sea at Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, the sea being rather rough. One lady held on the boat and the salvor (Nicholson) swam with one of the persons, a Miss Osborne, to the shore.’
