A Great War ‘Western Front’ M.M. group of four awarded to Sergeant T. W. Finch, Royal Engineers

Military Medal, G.V.R. (518586. Sjt: T. W. Finch. 560/Hants: A.T. Coy. R.E. -T.F.); 1914-15 Star (1350 2-Cpl. T. W. Finch. R.E.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaves (1350 Sjt. T. W. Finch. R.E.) pitting and contact marks, worn, therefore fine (4) £260-£300

M.M. London Gazette 21 August 1917.

Thomas Walter Finch attested for the Royal Engineers on 23 September 1914, and served during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 September 1915. He was awarded his Military Medal whilst attached to the 560th (Hampshire) Army Troops Company, Royal Engineers, and was discharged on account of wounds on 4 December 1918, being awarded a Silver War Badge.
