M.I.D. London Gazette 1 June 1953:
‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Korea, during the period 1st July 1952 to 28th February 1953.’

Ronald Williams was born in 1930 and attested for the East Yorkshire Regiment on 1 April 1948. Transferring to the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers on 29 August 1950, he continued to serve in the regiment until transferred to the Reserve on 21 November 1956. Overseas service is noted as Korea (21 November 1951 to 11 April 1953) and East Africa (24 July 1954 to 9 September 1955).
