M.S.M. London Gazette 17 June 1918:
‘In recognition of valuable services rendered with the forces in France during the present war.’

Frederick J. Goring, a native of Maidenhead, served with the Army Service Corps during the Great War on the Western Front from 3 October 1915. He was awarded the M.S.M. for services with the 3rd Army Supply Column and was discharged to Class Z Reserve on 4 September 1919.
