Herbert Edward Robinson was born in Chertsey, Surrey in May 1890, and in 1911 he was living in Wimbledon working as a printer. He died of disease on 6 December 1916 whilst serving at the Royal Naval Air Station at Kingsnorth, Kent (H.M.S. President II) and is buried at the Gap Road Cemetery in Wimbledon. The roll shows the British War Medal as his only entitlement.
