An Edwardian Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond cluster on later bar brooch, the pale blue oval mixed-cut sapphire millegrain collet set within a frilled surround of graduated brilliant-cut diamonds, to an outer border of rose-cut diamonds, the cluster to the centred of a plain bar brooch, mounted in two colour precious metal, bar brooch stamped ‘585’, accompanied by a Gem and Pearl Laboratory Sapphire Report, sapphire approximately 4.5 carats, bar brooch length 56mm. £2,000-£3,000

The Gem and Pearl Laboratory Sapphire Report, number 17154, dated 22nd April 2019, confirms the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, with no evidence of heat treatment.
