‘William George Prescott, M.C., lately Instructor, Duke of York’s Royal Military School.’

M.S.M. awarded under the terms of Army Order 98 of 1953 without annuity.

William George Prescott served as a Company Quartermaster Sergeant with Headquarters, 2 Signal Company, Royal Engineers, during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 August 1914, and was twice Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazettes 22 June 1915 and 1 January 1916) as well as being awarded the Military Cross whilst holding the rank of Warrant Officer.
